When we started our tent lighting business there were not many resources available to get information on lighting equipment, hardware, and cables. I hope we can be helpful and look forward to hearing from you.

We have been in business since 1975. Our primary business was rentals and sales of sound and lighting equipment for the entertainment industry, schools and churches. As our business expanded into the tent lighting industry we saw a need for specialty items to fill the requests of our clients whether they were event planners, caterers or the end user. Some of these specialty items included paper lanterns, string lights, and image projection just to name a few.

Gobo Projection

GOBO is short for "go between". The gobo in this case was made from a steel plate with the image cut to let the light through. The Gobo is held in a Gobo pattern holder and inserted into a projector type lighting instrument. The GOBO is seated in the instrument between the light source and the lens. There were 12 lekoes lighting instruments used to create this Hollywood Theme. Notice the 3 Stooges gobo projection on the right. We mounted the lekoes to the top of the side poles and directed them to the opposite tent ceiling. This design is not recommended for Century Tents due to the uneven ceiling. The design on the left includes parcans that washed the ceiling in blue and white dots representing stars projected with lekoes using GOBOS.
